THE PLANT POŁANIEC – DEMOLITION OF TWO 250 M REINFORCED CONCRETE CHIMNEYS – REDUCED FROM 250 METERS TO 90 METERS.
On the territory of Poland, we have implemented the demolition of two two hundred and fifty meter chimneys at a power plant Połaniec. With the prospect of a short time span to prepare before starting work, complications with side chimney, which was still in operation, we started the demolition work and within three months of work had to be made. The work were made at different climatic conditions. At a time when temperatures dropped to freezing point, work had to be stopped.Around the chimneys was led by electrical voltage, so we had to ensure maximum safety around demolition rubble against falling. With maximum safety and caution the work was completed after nearly three months.
